Somalia:

Desert locust upsurge in Somalia continues to threaten food security. In a joint communique, the Ministry of Agriculture and irrigation, FGS, FMS and United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization appealed for help to combat Desert locust and avert looming food insecurity that will create a humanitarian crisis in Somalia.

Ethiopia:

The United Nations refugee agency UNHCR says it has lost Eritrean refugee camp control in Tigray and over 90,000 Eritrean refugees in four camps are facing humanitarian crises. The agency appealed to the Government to ease the access to the embattled region. 

UNOCHA warns looming humanitarian crisis that will affect approximately 2.3 million people in Tigray region.

World Food Program Director David Beasley, in a video posted on social media from Tigray’s capital, Mekelle, said that they are distributing 20,000 tons of food aid to support 1.3M people. He added that people are hungry and appealed for more help
